Good Morning, I want to know if when I design using distributed parameters is better to have fixed width of the transmission lines and instead use their lenght to obtain the behaviour required, in this way I think it is possible to avoid unintentional step. It is this the way to proocede ??
Varying the line width you can obtain an improovement on the bandwidth
For instance if fou want to synthesize a short circuit starting from an open circuit impedance, you get higher bandwith if the lambda/4 line is a low impedance line instead of i.e. a 50Ohm line
