Good Morning,
I want to know if when I design using distributed parameters is better to have fixed width of the transmission lines and instead use their lenght to obtain the behaviour required, in this way I think it is possible to avoid unintentional step. It is this the way to proocede ??

Thanks

Antonio

Why not ?!?

No I'think this is not a good solution...

Varying the line width you can obtain an improovement on the bandwidth

For instance if fou want to synthesize a short circuit starting from an open circuit impedance, you get higher bandwith if the lambda/4 line is a low impedance line instead of i.e. a 50Ohm line
